Day 12

I have a confession. Today was the first day of The LGN Project that I didn't work out at all. I opened up the coffee shop, took a much needed nap when I got home, went to a surprise 50th birthday party at Las Palomas, ate an inappropriate amount of chips, salsa and refried beans and for dinner had chicken fajitas. I needed to just chill out and catch my breath. I'm worried that this one day of chilling out may have slowed my progress of weight loss. I weigh in tomorrow, so, time will tell. I'm really excited to see if I've lost any weight this week.
I forgot to blog about what Leah said to me when she saw me on Thursday after a week and a half. She said, "Hey, your shelf is gone! You know, the shelf you could rest your food on?" I realized it was true, the shelf really was gone. For those of you who don't really understand what a shelf is, it's depicted in the diagram below. It's basically when your stomach has a protrusion that allows you to rest food, items you might be shopping for in a store, potted plants, small aquariums, or even small children. It's something I'm glad to say I'm no longer carrying around.
