Day 21 - Week 3 Weigh In




Today I ended up trying something new for cardio. I jumped rope. My friend and almost MD, Joey Parker, highly recommended jumping rope as an excellent source of cardiovascular exercise. He said that approximately 10 minutes of jump rope is equivalent to 30 minutes of jogging. I ended up doing 3 sets of 5 min. each set with push ups and sit ups done in between each set...what an intense, concentrated work out! I was sweating more than when I ride my bike or use the elliptical. I know you're probably laughing right now as you picture me jumping rope...I challenge you to try it yourself. It will own you!
