When I weighed in today, I showed a loss of 2.6 pounds! That means that over the last two weeks, I've lost 8.2 pounds total! I'm pretty happy about that, and I think that the next 11 weeks will require a slow, steady grind with my intentions being to lose 2 pounds per week.
Going into this project, I have had unrealistic expectations. I imagined myself losing 5 pounds per week and after a month, having the body that I've always wanted. Reality is now setting in, and that's ok. I am determined to persevere and carry on the hard work. I really just have to take this thing one day at a time. As each day presents itself, I need to decide to get after it with all my being. I am learning to have a disciplined lifestyle, which is not easy. It takes me repeating and revisiting my goals daily to remind myself why I can't eat that donut, or drink that soda, or eat at that buffet for lunch. Time to gear up for week 3!

Hey, sounds like you are learning a lot more than just how to lose a few pounds! Keep it up, or off rather...
